From the reaction of 5-hydroxy-3-methyl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carbaldehyde with 4-(4-methylphenyl)-1,3-thiazol-2-amine Schiff base (HL) was obtained and its transition metal complexes were synthesized. All the synthesized compounds were confirmed their structure by Elemental analysis, FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, Mass spectra, TGA analysis and UV spectra. All the compounds were tested for their antimicrobial activity. In addition, the molar conductivities of all metal complexes were investigated in the DMF solution. Spectroscopic measurements suggest that all Schiff base metal complexes are of type ML2.(H2O)2 (M=Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, and Cu).
