In this study, 2-((p-tolylimino)methyl)phenol compound was synthesized from the reaction of 2-hydroxybenzaldehyde and 4-methylaniline. The new phenoxy-imine ligand was obtained from the condensation reaction of 2-((p-tolylino) methyl) phenol with 1,2-bis(bromomethyl)benzene. The resulting phenoxy-imine ligand was obtained from metal complexes with Fe(III), Cr(III) and Ru(III) chloride salts. The structures of all synthesized compounds were characterized by spectral and thermal methods such as elemental analysis, electrolytic conductivity, magnetic susceptibility measurements and FT-IR, 1H and 13C NMR, UV-Vis, LC-MS/MS and TGA/DTA. In addition, catalytic properties of synthesized metal complexes were investigated. In general, it has been observed in catalyst Ru(III) complexes that trigger the highest product formation in the synthesized catalysts.
